A new perspective on healthy ageing

Frontera is developing a multimodal health intelligence platform focused on older adults and healthy ageing. By integrating diverse health data sources, we can better understand individual health trajectories and support more personalised, preventive approaches to care.

Populations are ageing. Measurement is getting easier.

Growing older populations, increasingly accessible continuous measurements and advances in AI create an opportunity to investigate proactive health intelligence.

Slope chart of population aged 65 and over, 2025 to 2050. China: 210 million to 390 million, plus 86 percent. EU-27: 99 million to 130 million, plus 31 percent. United States: 62 million to 82 million, plus 32 percent. United Kingdom: 13 million to 19 million, plus 46 percent.

Care sees older adults in moments. Health changes in between.

Clinical assessments provide valuable insights, but they often capture health at isolated moments in time. Between visits, gradual changes in an individual’s health may be difficult to quantify, interpret or recognise.

Frontera aims to bridge this gap by transforming longitudinal health data into meaningful insights to support a more proactive and preventive care development.

Many sources. One integrated understanding of health.

Frontera brings diverse health data together within a unified intelligence framework, designed to build a more comprehensive and personalised understanding of health over time.

Multisource health data

  • Wearables
  • Clinical
  • Behavioural
  • Laboratory

Frontera health data intelligence

  1. IngestCollect data from each source into one place.
  2. HarmoniseAlign devices and formats so signals can be compared.
  3. Quality controlCheck coverage and keep gaps visible before scoring.
  4. ModelBuild baselines, trajectories and research models.

Longitudinal intelligence

  • BaselinesEach person's usual pattern
  • TrajectoriesHow measures move over time
  • Research modelsA future step, developed with partners

Frontera platform is intended to be sensor-agnostic. Research-grade devices power our pilot data; lower-cost consumer sensors can extend it at scale.

Baseline
A person's own usual pattern, used as the reference for change.
Trajectory
How a measure moves over weeks and months in the same person.
Longitudinal
Followed over time, in the same individual.
Sensor-agnostic
Not tied to one device or brand of sensor.

From health data to meaningful insights

Explore Frontera’s working research prototype, demonstrating how longitudinal wearable data can be transformed into interpretable health metrics, personalised scores and interactive visualisations.

Prototype demonstration

A daily Vitality Score from physical activity and sleep behaviour, designed for adults aged 65 and over. Scores use the prototype's 0–120 scale and show how much data each one had.

Pseudonymised participants and exploratory data. Observational views, not a diagnosis.

Built on published evidence. Explainable at every step.

Our scoring framework translates what is known about healthy ageing into personalised, explainable measures.

  1. Evidence

Collective health intelligence: guidelines and clinical literature on healthy ageing.

  2. Mapping

Health dimensions linked to the signals that can be measured.

  3. Scoring

Interpretable daily and rolling scores, personal to each individual.

  4. Learning

Longitudinal health patterns, studied over time.

Who Frontera is for

Frontera is designed around older adults and the people who care for them.

Care-home operators

A clearer view of how each resident’s activity and sleep move over time, to support everyday observation between clinic visits. We are looking for operators to shape the workflow with us through a structured pilot.

Families and authorised carers

A future audience. Frontera aims to make everyday patterns in activity and sleep easier to understand, shared with the person’s agreement and under appropriate governance. These are observations of health habits. They do not diagnose or replace clinical advice.

  • Their own baselineEach person is compared with their own usual pattern over time.
  • ExplainableEach score can be traced back to the measures behind it.
  • Gaps stay visibleMissing data is shown as missing. It is never filled in or counted as zero.

Who we want to work with

We’re looking for partners to help move Frontera from prototype to validated real-world evidence.

  • Pilot sites

Elderly-care and care-home providers willing to run a structured longitudinal pilot.

    Discuss a pilot
  • Wearable and IoT partners

Manufacturers with reliable sensors, data access and an interest in co-developing for older-adult monitoring.

    Discuss sensors
  • Research validators

Healthy-ageing, care-home and real-world evidence researchers to link signals with meaningful outcomes.

    Discuss research
  • Strategic investors

Investors and industry partners who understand the healthy-ageing field.

    Discuss investment
